What Is the AquaHacking Binational Program?
Focused on the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence region, one of the most important freshwater systems in the world, the AquaHacking Program brings together bright minds from across Canada and the United States to develop solutions to urgent water issues.
Participants create teams and collaborate with experts, communities, and water leaders to innovate, test ideas, and build solutions that strengthen local ecosystems and the blue economy.
Now entering its 10th year and 16th edition, AquaHacking is more than a competition. It’s a FREE 7-month innovation, ideation, and collaboration journey designed to:
- Support early-stage water-tech concepts
- Provide mentorship from leading experts
- Build real-world entrepreneurship skills
- Spark collaboration across disciplines and borders
- Launch the next generation of water solutions and startups
This is your chance to turn your vision into a project — or even a startup — that benefits the environment, economy, and communities throughout the Great Lakes–St. Lawrence basin.
As an AquaHacking participant, you’ll gain access to:
- A curated curriculum including business training, leadership, and entrepreneurship development
