From Sept 29th – Oct 2nd, AquaAction is leading a trade mission from WEFTEC in Chicago to high-value stops in Michigan, unlocking investor networks, innovation tours, and the exciting launch of our new office in the United States.
AquaAction is leading 12 promising water tech entrepreneurs on a dynamic trade mission that kicks off at one of North America’s largest gatherings of water professionals—WEFTEC in Chicago—and continues with high-impact stops across Michigan.
At WEFTEC, with support from our government partners, we’re curating high-profile opportunities for these entrepreneurs to showcase their innovations and connect with investors and collaborators. The highlight: a major announcement on the Innovation Pavilion stage with our Oxia Initiative partners, unveiling new metrics for measuring water-saving impact.
Then we hit the road. First stop: Whirlpool’s Innovation Campus, where we’ll meet their elite design team and explore how they tackle water efficiency challenges in product development. Next, we suit up for UnDemo Day®, a unique event designed to connect our startups with venture capital investors from across the U.S.
On our final day, we’ll tour the research labs at the University of Michigan–Flint, engaging with students about the entrepreneurial journey and the future of water tech. As part of the experience, join us for a special lunch panel featuring water entrepreneurs who will share their personal journeys and insights into driving innovation in the water sector.
The journey culminates in Detroit with the official launch of AquaAction’s new office at the Urban Tech Xchange space. Supported by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, this celebration will bring together VIPs, business leaders, and innovators for a creative collision of ideas—all united by a mission to secure our water future through bold solutions.
