MODUL’EAU

The Modul’Eau team offers a turnkey service for mapping water quality in aquatic environments.

AQUABOTS

From INRS, this team offers real-time access to geotagged data for monitoring water quality in urban streams.

ENVIRO SCIENTYS

The EnviroScientys team at INRS has developed an intelligent probe, SWEEP which can monitor changes in snow cover in real time and predict the availability of water from melting snow.

RÊVER HAUT

The Rêver Haut team proposes Mapsense AI, a web-based platform integrating a GIS geographic information system and artificial intelligence capable of detecting sensitive areas from satellite images.

GÉOMAGE

Sherbrooke’s Géomage team offers the Archipel solution to address the challenges of St. Lawrence River habitats. Archipel is the first decision-support tool for the management of sensitive environments.

Create a sensitivity index for the natural environments of the St. Lawrence to identify sensitive areas and prioritize restoration, protection and stewardship actions.

ABOUT THE CHALLENGE

Quebec has 3% of the world's renewable freshwater supply, spread over the entire territory. But over the past three decades, there has been increasing stress on Quebec's freshwater due to climate change, population growth and land-use changes.

Water has no substitute. This program creates solutions.

Eligibility

  • You have between18-35 years of age
  • A resident of Canada
  • Enrolled in a post-secondary institution, a recent graduate, or a young professional.

Teams are established, meet water experts, develop their solutions and access on-demand workshops, and mentoring

Teams pitch their solution to a panel of judges, and 5 finalist teams are selected.
